Who can join?
Youth ages 11 to 17 (or 10 after finishing 5th grade or earning the Arrow of Light). New Scouts are welcome all year.
When and where do you meet?
2nd and 4th Tuesdays, 6:30–7:30 PM. Location: Springfield Community Center, Springfield VA.
Can we visit before we join?
Yes! Come to any troop meeting. Email hello@example.org first so we can watch for you.
How much does it cost?
National membership fees plus small unit dues. Financial help is available, and no youth is ever turned away for cost.
What is a patrol?
A small team of Scouts who camp, cook, and work together, with an elected patrol leader.
Do parents need to be involved?
Scouts lead the troop, and adults support them. We always need adult volunteers; training is provided.
