Learn Diabolo
A diabolo is a spool that spins on a string tied between two hand sticks. Here's how to start. Then come to a meetup and we'll help in person.
Start Here
Pick a Starter
A medium-size diabolo with soft rubber cups is forgiving and easy to start. Beginner sets usually come with sticks and string.
Hold the Sticks
One stick in each hand, held loosely at waist height. Let the diabolo rest on the string just above the floor.
Rolling Start
Set the diabolo on the floor, roll it to one side along the string, and lift. It should already be spinning.
Keep It Spinning
Whip your dominant hand's stick up and down in a steady rhythm. Faster spin means a steadier diabolo. If it tilts, slow down and face it straight ahead.
