General
What is Riverbend Jugglers?
Riverbend Jugglers is a juggling and flow arts club for Burlington, VT. We bring together jugglers of all ages, from first-timers to experienced players. Beginners, families, and experienced jugglers are all welcome.
Is there a membership fee?
Open practice is free.
Do I have to compete?
Not at all. Most people come to play, learn tricks, and have fun. Competing is up to you.
Meetups
When and where do you meet?
Every Tuesday, 6:30–8:30 PM. We meet at Riverside Rec Center, 75 River Rd, Burlington VT. Come and go anytime during the meetup.
Do I need to RSVP?
No. Just show up. If a meetup is ever cancelled, we post it on this site and our social media as early as we can.
What should I bring?
Nothing. We bring loaner beanbags, clubs, and practice poi to every meetup, so you don't need to bring anything. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in.
Can kids come?
Yes! All ages are welcome. Younger kids should come with a parent or guardian, especially the first time.
Getting Started
Do I need to know how to play?
No. Total beginners are just as welcome as experienced players. We'll teach you the cascade one throw at a time.
What should I buy first?
Three soft beanbags. They don't bounce or roll away, so practice goes faster. Try our loaner clubs and poi before you buy those.
Can I bring fire props?
Not to our meetups. Fire spinning needs its own space, safety gear, and the venue's permission. Bring practice props instead.
Getting Involved
How do I become a member?
Just come to a meetup. There's no sign-up. If you show up, you're part of the club.
Can I volunteer?
Yes, please. Email hello@example.org or talk to us at a meetup. We always need help setting up, greeting newcomers, and running activities.
Can my organization partner with the club?
Yes. We're open to venue partnerships, demos, workshops, and sponsorships. Email hello@example.org with your idea.
