About us
Wind It, Throw It, Keep It Spinning
Throw tops in Tucson. We meet every other Saturday on the library's hard floor, with loaner tops for beginners.
Desert Spin Tops is a spin top club for Tucson, AZ. We meet to wind, throw, and trade tricks with people who love tops. Beginners, families, and competitors are all welcome.
Never thrown a top? Chasing a longer spin? This is your crew. We bring loaner tops and string to every meetup, so you don't need to bring anything. Someone will always help you land your first throw.

Keeping Meetups Safe
- Kids are welcome. Younger kids need a parent or guardian with them. A parent or guardian is responsible for their own child at every meetup.
- Club volunteers never take kids anywhere away from the group or the meetup space.
- Tops need a hard floor and room to throw. Throw toward the floor, never toward people, and keep a clear landing spot.
- Check the tip and string before you throw. A loose tip can fly off. Metal tips can mark floors, so use mats where the venue asks.
