Yes — free to spectate. Competitor entry is $15–25 per division depending on division. No charge for spectators, families, or curious mall visitors.

Doors open at 10 AM and the event runs until approximately 7 PM. Check the Schedule page for the full timeline as it's finalized.

Four divisions: 1A — single yo-yo on a string, the flagship division ($25); X Division — multi-style covering 2A, 3A, 4A, or 5A, pick your style ($20); Sport / Beginner / Junior — welcoming entry-level division for all ages and skill levels ($15); Fixed Axle — traditional no-bearing yo-yos only, pricing TBD. Yes. Competitors must upload an MP3 by September 12, 2026 — one week before the event. The upload link is sent after registration and payment are confirmed. File name format: DIVISION_LastName_FirstName.mp3 (e.g. 1A_Rogers_Brandon.mp3). No upload by the deadline means AUX cord or no music — no exceptions. Full details on the Register page.

Yes. Registration is per division. Register for 1A + X Division together for $40 ($5 off the combined price).

Registration fees are non-refundable once payment clears, except in cases of documented medical emergency, duplicate payment error, or division cancellation by the organizers. If the full event is cancelled, all fees are refunded within 30 days. See the full Refund & Cancellation Policy →

A community showcase area for handmade skill toys, custom designs, and indie crafted work. Not a sponsor table — this is community space for makers. Contact us if you're interested in a spot.

Planned — pending funding. Diamond and Platinum sponsors receive YouTube livestream credit. Once funded, it's happening. Help us get there.

Free parking at all mall entrances. Dulles Town Center has ample surface parking surrounding the entire mall. No fees, no validation needed.

Fill out the sponsor interest form or email vastateyoyocontest@gmail.com. Diamond and Platinum spots are limited — first come, first served. You'll receive a PayPal invoice to lock your spot.

DMV Throwers Yo-Yo & Skill Toy Club — the DC/Maryland/Virginia yo-yo community club. Entirely volunteer-run. Every dollar goes straight to the event.
